A 19-year veteran of the OC Sheriff’s Department was apprehended on suspicion of child molestation this morning by elements of the Riverside Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Wilbert Dale Garcia, 49, is being held for three offenses – one for continual sexual abuse of a child under 14 yrs. of age and two counts of aggravated child sexual assault. Fairness dictates that the Deputy be provided an impartial trial and is innocent until proven guilty. However, there is reason to believe that very incriminating evidence was collected from the preliminary investigation that certainly included a medical examination of the child.
